Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 ½ lb. chicken breasts (small dice)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 large green bell peppers (cut lengthwise & seeds removed)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup hot sauce (4oz.)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Method

  1. Gather and prepare all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x10-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Dice the chicken into small pieces and pat dry with paper towels. Season the chicken evenly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the cubed chicken in an even layer. Cook undisturbed for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain. Set aside.
  4. Turn the heat to medium and add the butter, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and stir until combined.
